The company was setup initially under the Chinese state-owned major industry player “China Petroleum Co.” which traded primarily in crude oil. In addition to their domestic trade, in February of 2004 the Shanghai Fount Energy Trade Co. Ltd began trading with companies in Japan.

      Mr. Ding was born in 1965, in Shanghai, China. He graduated from Tonji University in Shanghai, China as well as completing a Master’s degree from Tokyo University of Mercantile Marine in Tokyo, Japan. In the year of 2001 he established the Shanghai Chuen-to Trade Co. Ltd

General Manager Mr. Kotani Manabu

      Mr. Kotani was born in 1973, in Wakayama-ken, in the Kansai-chi-hou region of Japan. After Graduating from Tokyo University of Mercantile Marine in Tokyo, Japan, Mr Kotani studied abroad at the Shanghai Normal University where he studied Chinese and IT.

      Mr Kotani then worked for various companies before becoming part of the Shanghai Fount Energy Trade Co. Ltd. His first company in China was a paint company, but by the age of 29 he was the general manager of the Shanghai Wa]I Gao Qiao Free Trade Zone Logistics. It wasn’t until February 2004 when he joined the Shanghai Fount Energy Trade Co. Ltd to take on the role of general manager in charge of business services and dealing with the company’s agents in Japan.
